Transfer Station Department Responsibilities
The Transfer Station Department is responsible for the operation of the Holton Township Transfer Station which includes the collection of fees and their submission along with all records to the Township office the Monday following the Saturday that the Transfer Station is open; The weekly cleanup of the Transfer Station grounds; and snow removal when necessary. The Transfer Station Supervisor is under the direct supervision of the Township Supervisor.
DUMPING FEES AND REGULATIONS
The Transfer Station is to be used by Holton Township residents only.
There shall be no commercial dumping.
The Transfer Station Attendant will no longer accept the following:
Any demolition materials, wood included
Hazardous materials
Batteries or tires
Brush, leaves, or grass clippings
Any items with compressors must have compressor removed
The Transfer Station will be open each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fees:
33-gallon garbage container………………………$2.00
50-gallon barrels ………………………………$3.00
If the barrel is put into the tank………………..$4.00
Full sized pickup or trailer, level full will be $25.00. May be charged more for oversized loads.
Small size pickup or trailer, level full will be $15.00. May be charged more for oversized loads.
All furniture brought in must be disassembled.
Couch ………………$7.00
Overstuffed chair…….$5.00
Large mattress……….$8.00
Twin mattress………..$5.00
