Board Meeting Minutes for May 10, 2016
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance given by all present.
Roll Call: Trustee Wilson, Trustee Jager, Clerk Johnson, Supervisor Noble and Treasurer Halbower present.
Agenda is set.
Review of minutes:
050116 Trustee Wilson made a motion to accept the April 12, 2016 minutes as presented. Trustee Jager seconded. CARRIED.
Review of Bills:
050216 Trustee Wilson made the motion to pay the bills as presented. Treasurer Halbower seconded. CARRIED.
Business from the Floor: Richard Houtteman, Consumers Energy Representative spoke to the board about The Consumers Energy Franchise Ordinance. The Ordinance by Constitution has to be renewed every 30 years.
050316 Trustee Jager made the motion to adopt the Consumers Energy Franchise Ordinance. Trustee Wilson seconded. CARRIED.
Brenda Moore, Muskegon County Drain Commissioner gave a presentation on drains, maintenance, current and upcoming projects. Also the steps and procedures for projects.
Jeff Lohman, Muskegon County Commissioner, mentioned the MSU Extension Board District and said they are looking for a board representative if anyone is interested. He also talked about house addressing and the possibility that County Assessing may possibly do it.
Treasurer’s Report:
050416 Trustee Jager made the motion to accept the treasurers report as presented. Trustee Wilson seconded. CARRIED.
Department Reports:
Fire Chief Stevens reported for the month of April. Total man hours 159 hours. Expenses for the 206 account were $5,487.61 which is currently 36% under budget. The 216 account had zero expenses. He also thanked Tammy for attending the training they recently held.

Unfinished Business: Transfer Station job description update.
050516 Trustee Jager made the motion to accept the updates to the Transfer Station Attendant Job Description and Pay Plan. Trustee Wilson seconded. CARRIED.
New Business:
Hire HUMC Youth group to help Marc load tires on May 21. There would be a $100 payment for this.
050616 Trustee Jager made the motion to hire the HUMC Youth Group and to pay them $100 for their services. Trustee Wilson seconded. CARRIED.
Discussion of the addressing issue and Art commented that the address should be assigned to the road that the driveway is on.
Budget hearing date is set for June 15th at 10am.
