Review of minutes:

120114 Trustee Wilson made a motion to accept the November 11, 2014 minutes as presented. Trustee Jager seconded. CARRIED.

Review of Bills:

120214 Trustee Wilson made the motion to pay the bills as presented. Trustee Jager seconded. CARRIED.

Business from the Floor:
Mr. Bob Shirk of Brunswick Road commented that he doesn’t think the township needs a Blight Ordinance.
Mr. Jeff Loman is to be sworn in, in one month as the newly elected County Commissioner. He let the board
know that he is available for any concerns or comments, and gave his cell number for anyone to contact him.
Ms. Amy Brookhouse of Holton Duck Lake Road commented that she appreciated being on the committee working on the Blight Ordinance and being able to give input on it.

Treasurer’s Report:

120314 Trustee Wilson made the motion to accept the treasurers report as presented. Trustee Jager seconded. CARRIED.

Department Reports:
Fire Chief Stevens reported for the month of November. Total man hours 392 hours. Expenses for the 206 account were $6,456.89 and is currently 10% under budget. The 216 account had $0 expenses and is 41% under budget.

Art would like permission to replace 600 feet of 3½ inch fire hose. Cost is $189.98 per 50 foot section, and
total cost would be $2279.76.

120414 Treasurer Halbower made the motion to allow Art to purchase 600 feet of fire hose.
Trustee Wilson seconded. CARRIED.

Art would also like to purchase 20 reflective bands for the fire helmets at $27 each, and 2 rolls of reflective tape at $10 each for a total cost of $560.

120514 Trustee Wilson made the motion to allow Art to purchase the reflective materials for the
cost of $560 for the helmets and fire jackets. Trustee Jager seconded. CARRIED.

The fire department has received a matching grant and will use this to purchase Emergency kits that contain
carbon monoxide testers and mini weather stations for each of the vehicles.

Correspondence: We received correspondence from the County Road Commission stating there will be a
road millage in February 2015.

Unfinished Business: Blight Ordinance – discussion of changes that possibly need to be made – send comments to Bill within one week so a meeting can be set up for any revisions to be made.

New Business: Resignation of Ken Schaub from the Planning Commission, and BOR effective Jan. 20, 2015

for the 3 year term starting Jan. 2015. Treasurer Halbower seconded. CARRIED.
