Review of minutes:

Review of Bills:

040218 Treasurer Halbower made the motion to pay the bills as presented. Trustee Schroeder seconded. CARRIED.

Business from the Floor: Jason Leslie, Bridgeton owns a hydroponics store in Fremont and was checking to see if residents would be open to a store in Holton.

Bruce Andree, W. Lake Road inquired where the board was at in the Little Silver Lake assessment process.

Alan responded that it was being worked on.

Presentation by Andrew Jensen and Thomas Burns regarding their company Atlas Inc. which is looking for

areas to start a marijuana grow operation.

Treasurer’s Report:

040318 Clerk Johnson made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Trustee Schroeder seconded. CARRIED.

Gary Foster had asked for suggestions on what we would like the Senior millage funds to be used for. Uber was suggested as this would be helpful for the seniors that aren’t able to drive and don’t have anyone available to take them places.

Department Reports: Fire Chief Hawk reported total man-hours of 431.5 for March.

Expenses for the 206 account were $8,428.06 which is currently 20% under budget. 216 account had 0 expenses.

Constantine Irrigation contract for cemetery – we usually just do fall service for $350.

040418 Trustee Schroeder made a motion to contract Constantine Irrigation to do the fall

Service for $350. Treasurer Halbower seconded. CARRIED.

Cedar Creek Fire Contract – expires July 1, 2018. There are no changes to the contract and it will be

presented to Cedar Creek next month.

040518 Treasurer Halbower made the motion to approve the Cedar Creek Fire Contract for fire service for three years. Clerk Johnson seconded. CARRIED.

Alpine Fire Report Software, $2000.00. This was approved last budget year, but it wasn’t billed till now.

040618 Treasurer Halbower made the motion to allow the purchase of the Alpine Fire Report Software approved last budget year. Trustee Schroeder seconded. CARRIED.

Road project: Mr. Hulka’s recommendation would be to wedge and resurface these roads and then apply a chip seal. The cost estimate for doing this treatment on all of these roads is $130,000.00. Hoppman,

Dewitt/2nd,3rd St., Ward from 3rd to Holton, Ward from Holton/Whitehall south. Our share would be $65,000.

040718 Treasurer Halbower made the motion to contract with the MCRC to fix the above roads with our share being $65,000. Clerk Johnson seconded. CARRIED.
